Who Are We?

“Flux Indoor Percussion was founded by director’s Dakota McConnell and Alex Barreras. The idea of the group originated during a car ride back from California after a Pulse rehearsal weekend. This was one of many round trips to California done to pursue some of the highest level of percussion education the world has to offer. The question was simple - Why do we make the drive and how can we create something of this magnitude within our own state lines? How can we motivate our younger generation go home and dedicate themselves to pursue the highest level of excellence?

Member experience, high education, and organizational stability were 3 crucial pillars to the development of this organization. We are dedicated to continuing to push our state and activity to reach levels it hasn't reached before. We hope every student, teacher, future percussionist, dancer, or person whom experiences our organization will be motivated to pursue the best version of themselves . We are Flux Indoor Percussion”
